Ingredients

Base ingredients for all three overnight oats flavors

  • Instant oats – Finer than rolled oats, they blend into a super smooth, pudding-like consistency.
  • Soy milk – Adds creaminess and a plant-based protein boost.
  • Chia seeds – Naturally thickens the oats while adding fiber, protein, and omega-3s (read more about nutrition of chia seeds).
  • Agave syrup – A touch of natural sweetness that ties everything together. Instant oats – Instanst oats are finer than rolled oats, which makes it easier to blend them into a smooth consistency.

Almond butter overnight oats

  • Almond butter – Use 100 % almond butter with no additional sugar added.
  • Optional additions:
    • A sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin spice for warmth and a more complex flavor.
    • Almond slivers for texture.
    • Extra almond butter on top for more richness and a boost of healthy fat.
    • For a more intense almond flavor use almond milk.

Blueberry overnight oats

  • Blueberries – We prefer frozen berries because they help thicken the mixture and we love the convenience as they are already washed and ready to go.
  • Optional additions:
    • Swap in strawberries, raspberries, or mixed berries. If using bigger berries like strawberries, make sure to blend well for consistent texture.
    • Add coconut flakes or white chocolate shavings for fun flavor twists.

Chocolate overnight oats

  • Cocoa powder – Non-sweetened 100 % cocoa powder will make these blended oats a chocoholic’s dream.
  • Optional additions:
    • A swirl of peanut butter for richness.
    • A pinch of salt to enhance the chocolate.
    • Chocolate shavings on top (because yes).

How to make blended oats

The process couldn’t be easier. Just throw everything into a blender or NutriBullet and blend for a minute or two, until smooth and creamy.

Pour the mixture into a mason jar (330 ml / 11 oz), pop the lid on, and keep it in the fridge for up to six days.

Add any toppings before serving, not before storing.
